This Guarneri violin needed a new bass bar. I developed a technique that allows for the temporary gluing of the top with paper. This is important for checking the sound of the violin with a new bass bar placement. With this technique, the top gluing surface is protected, and the owner can easily check if they approve of the sound change before the top is glued on more permanently.
