When I build a violin, each detail is important. The process begins with an instrument from antiquity that inspires me. As I have worked closely with Cremonese instruments, my motivation changes, it pushes my boundaries of beauty, and creates a memory of how a great instrument should sound. The sound and playabliliy are the most important qualities of my instruments. Iā€™m a violinist and personally break in and adjust each instrument that I make. I have spent hundreds of hours with amazing musicians finding the perfect balance for their violins. Many years of adjusting fine violins as a restorer has made me more aware of what great musicians need.
